The Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE) is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, designed to transform existing state-owned sports infrastructure into world-class high-performance training hubs. Implemented under the broader Khelo India Scheme, KISCE plays a pivotal role in strengthening India’s Olympic and international sporting potential.

As of late 2025, more than 29 notified centres across 28 States and Union Territories are operational, creating a strong nationwide network dedicated to elite athlete development.

Each centre focuses on select disciplines best suited to the state’s sporting strengths, ensuring optimal resource utilization and performance outcomes.
